2023 Medical Camp

Due to the lack of affordable and accessible medical facilities in Butambala, in 2021 we conducted our first annual medical camp. We were able to assist over 350 people with diagnoses, treatment and covid vaccinations. Over the past 3 years, the annual medical camp has continued to grow in the number of people attending and seeking help, this has brought a significant emphasis on increasing the variety of treatment available, medication and resources.

Medical Professional diagonizing a patient

Our most recent medical camp in 2023 extended over two days, seeing and treating over 1000 people. The benefits of the annual medical camps include free doctor’s consultations, screening, antenatal services, diagnosing and treating common illnesses such as malaria, typhoid, influenza and hypertension, blood tests including HIV testing, counselling services, prescribed referrals, and vaccinations for both covid19 and Hepatitis B.

We are looking forward to our next annual medical camp coming up on the 14th September 2024 where we hope to further expand the services available to the community and provide support to all who attend.
